This week, the A.V. Club asks
what books you love to re-read--over and over and over. Mine would be
Jane Eyre, which has been a favorite since I first read it at age 13 (a mass market paperback that my mom picked up for me at The Galaxy Bookshop--I still have and read that same copy.) What's your choice, whether it's to take something new away from the text or for pure comfort?
My favorite is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I never tire of this old friend.
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt that would be "A Ring of Endless" Light by Madeleine L'Engle. I just come back to that book again and again and again-- whether I'm seeking solace or a bit of adventure . Sadly I recently lost the faded paperback copy that I had had since I was 9. I couldn't bear a new cover so I need to seek out an identical copy, dated '80s cover and all!
